Taxiphyllum barbieri common name Java Moss from the family Hypnaceae originates from South East Asia and can grow to a height of 3 cm - 10 cm and a width of 5 cm - 10 cm. In its native habitat T. barbieri is found attached to rocks, driftwood, and other vegetation in marshes, streams, and rivers. T. barbieri is a robust, undemanding and adaptable plant that does not require extensive care or specific environment to do well. It can grow in a range of lighting, nutrient, and water conditions. It is an ideal choice to decorate and enhance the stones and tree roots in an aquarium. It also helps to conceal installations found within an aquarium. Attach with a fishing line until the moss takes hold. Trimming is possible with a scissors if growth becomes out of hand.
