Juwel Fine Sponge Medium

Fine Filter Sponge The Juwel fine filter sponge is primarily used for the biological filtering of your aquarium, making it an essential component of the Juwel filter system.
The fine pore structure gives a very large surface area, guaranteeing slow and even water flow conditions. This means that it is particularly suitable for biological filtering in the an aerobic area.
The open pores of the Juwel filter sponge were made without the use of chemicals, meaning that there is no residue.
Suitable for both freshwater and marine aquariums.

These pads should be changed out every 9 months (upper) & annualy (lower) as this fine filter creates the crystal clear water in your aquarium.

There are 3 sizes of filter media to suit the different filters.

Compact, Standard & Jumbo.

Juwel Jumbo Filter Media measures 15 X 15 cm and fits the Bioflow 8 filter systems.
Aquariums that have the Bioflow 8 filter systems are, Rio 400, Trigon 350 & the Vision 450.

Juwel Standard Filter Mediameasures 12.5 X 12.5 cm and fits the Bioflow 6 filter systems.
Aquariums that have the Bioflow 6 filter systems are, Rio 300 & the Vision 260.

Juwel Compact Filter Media measures 9.5 X 9.5 cm and fits the Bioflow 3 filter systems.
Aquariums that have the Bioflow 3 filter systems are, Rio 240, Rio 180, Rio 125, Vision 180, Trigon 190, lido 120 & the Lido 200.

For models Rekord 600, 700 and 800 using the Bioflow Super Filter system, the ompact size media is used. Exception is the poly pad and carbon that use a super compact model which are slightly smaller than the standard compact media.

For the New Vio 40 model aquariums with the Bioflow Mini Filter system, These take a single compact coarse sponge.
