Overview:

Anubias barteri nana ‘KIRIN’ is a rare and visually striking Anubias variety, characterised by its marbled, mottled leaf pattern featuring light green to cream variegation against darker green tones. Each leaf develops unique markings, giving the plant a distinctive, ornamental appearance.

Compact and slow-growing, ‘KIRIN’ is especially well suited to nano aquariums and carefully designed aquascapes where it can be showcased as a focal plant. Despite its exotic look, it retains the hardiness Anubias species are known for.

Care and Growth:

This variety thrives under low to medium lighting and does not require CO₂ injection, making it suitable for low-tech setups. Excessively strong lighting should be avoided, as it may promote algae growth and reduce the clarity of the variegation.

Attach the plant to rocks or driftwood, ensuring the rhizome remains exposed to prevent rot. Growth is slow, but steady, with minimal maintenance required beyond occasional trimming of older leaves.
