Overview:

Sagittaria subulata ‘Needle Leaf’ is a fine-leaved variation of the popular Sagittaria subulata, valued for its narrow, grass-like leaves and natural appearance. Supplied in an in-vitro cup, this plant is grown in sterile laboratory conditions, ensuring it is free from pests, algae, and snails.

Its slim leaf structure gives it a lighter, more delicate look compared to standard Sagittaria, making it ideal for creating natural foreground or midground layouts. When allowed to spread, it forms attractive, meadow-like groupings that suit both beginner and advanced aquascapes.

Care and Growth:

This plant is highly adaptable and grows well under low to moderate lighting, making it suitable for low-tech aquariums. CO₂ injection and a nutrient-rich substrate can encourage shorter, denser growth, but are not essential. Regular fertilisation supports healthy leaf development.

Sagittaria subulata ‘Needle Leaf’ propagates via runners, spreading naturally across the substrate once established. Growth can be easily managed by removing excess runners or trimming taller leaves.
