Overview:

Anubias barteri ‘Coin Leaf’ is a compact and highly attractive Anubias variety, recognised for its rounded, coin-shaped leaves and deep green colour. Its tidy growth habit makes it ideal for smaller aquariums, nano tanks, and detailed aquascapes.

Like other Anubias species, this plant is extremely hardy and adaptable, thriving in a wide range of water conditions. It is best attached to rocks or driftwood rather than planted in substrate, allowing the rhizome to remain exposed and healthy.

Care and Growth:

Anubias barteri ‘Coin Leaf’ prefers low to medium lighting and does not require CO₂ injection, making it suitable for low-tech setups. Excessively strong lighting can encourage algae growth on the leaves, so moderate lighting is recommended.

Growth is slow, but steady. Occasional trimming of older leaves keeps the plant looking fresh. Over time, the rhizome will spread and produce new leaves, forming a dense, decorative clump.
