Hygrophila polysperma ‘Sunset’ is a vibrant and fast-growing aquarium plant, prized for its pale green leaves accented with striking pink to red veins. This colourful pattern gives the plant its “sunset” appearance and makes it a standout in planted aquariums.

Under strong lighting, the red veining becomes more pronounced, creating excellent contrast against greener plants. Its rapid growth also makes it useful for nutrient control in both new and established aquariums.

Care and Growth:

Medium to high lighting is recommended to maintain strong colouration. While CO₂ injection is not required, supplementation and regular fertilisation greatly enhance colour intensity and growth rate.
