Cryptocoryne wendtii ‘Brown

Cryptocoryne wendtii ‘brown’ originates from Sri Lanka and can grow to a height of 15 cm - 25 cm. It is one of the most highly popular of the 60 known varieties of Cryptocoryne species. Cryptocoryne wendtii ‘brown’ grows best as a solitary species but also grows well in small groups. Contrary to popular belief that Cryptocoryne species needs soft water to survive, large parts of Sri Lanka where it originates from, contains hard water. Sri Lanka Cryptocoryne can survive happily in European hard waters. Cryptocoryne wendtii ‘brown’ is an undemanding plant that can survive in wide ranges of lighting environments, water acidity, and nutrient fertilization.
