Overview:
Microsorum pteropus on nano wood is a hardy and beginner-friendly aquarium plant, supplied pre-attached to a piece of natural nano wood for easy placement. Its compact presentation makes it ideal for nano aquariums, shrimp tanks, and detailed aquascapes.
Java Fern’s leathery green leaves create a natural, established look straight out of the box. The nano wood provides instant structure and allows the plant to thrive without planting into substrate.
Care and Growth:
This plant thrives in low to medium lighting and does not require CO₂ injection, making it perfect for low-tech aquariums. The rhizome should remain exposed on the wood to prevent rot, with good water flow around the plant.
Growth is slow but steady. Java Fern may produce small plantlets on the tips or undersides of its leaves, which can be removed and attached elsewhere to propagate new plants.
