Apistogramma borellii "Opal" – Care Guide & Description

The Apistogramma borellii "Opal", also known as the Opal Dwarf Cichlid, is a small, peaceful South American cichlid native to slow-moving rivers and floodplains in Paraguay, Argentina, and Brazil.

This variety is prized for its iridescent blue and yellow coloration, with males displaying the most vibrant hues.

It is one of the hardiest Apistogramma species, tolerating cooler temperatures better than many of its relatives, making it an excellent choice for a community or species-only setup.
