Cryptocoryne parva is the smallest species in the Cryptocoryne family and is highly valued for its compact, grass-like appearance. Supplied in an in-vitro cup, this plant is grown in sterile laboratory conditions, ensuring it is free from pests, algae, and snails.

Its low-growing, tidy form makes it an excellent foreground plant for aquascapes, where it can create a subtle carpet effect over time. Cryptocoryne parva blends seamlessly into nature-style layouts and pairs beautifully with rocks and driftwood.

Care and Growth:

Cryptocoryne parva prefers stable aquarium conditions and moderate to high lighting to achieve healthy, compact growth. While CO₂ injection is not essential, supplementation significantly improves growth rate and helps the plant spread more efficiently. A nutrient-rich substrate is recommended for best results.

Like other Cryptocoryne species, this plant may experience “crypt melt” when first introduced to a new aquarium, but it will typically recover and produce new growth once established. Propagation occurs naturally through runners that spread across the substrate.
