Product Overview

JBL Cermec is a ceramic filter medium made from porous ceramic tubes, suitable for use in both freshwater and saltwater aquariums. It is commonly used for mechanical filtration and can also function as a biological filter medium.

The hollow, porous structure provides ideal conditions for beneficial bacteria to colonise while allowing excellent water flow through the filter. When used as a pre-filter medium, it helps protect biological filter material from rapid silting by trapping coarse particles.
