• Coloration: They are known for their shimmering scales, which can display a wide range of colours, including shades of blue, red, yellow, and green. The iridescence of their scales becomes more vibrant in good lighting.
• Fins: Their fins are relatively long and flowing, contributing to their elegant appearance. The dorsal fin is particularly striking with its elongated shape and vibrant colours.
• Shape: The body is slender and streamlined, a characteristic typical of rainbowfish species.

Behavior:

• Temperament: Synergos Rainbowfish are generally peaceful and can coexist with a variety of tankmates. They are social creatures and prefer to live in groups, where they can interact with one another and feel more secure.

  • Hardness: Soft to moderately hard water with a general hardness (GH) of 5-15 dGH is ideal.
• Tank Setup:
  • Substrate and Decorations: A soft substrate, such as sand or fine gravel, is recommended. Synergos Rainbowfish enjoy a well-planted tank with plenty of hiding spots, as live plants like Java fern and Anubias provide shelter and mimic their natural habitat.
