Product Overview

GlasGarten Snail Safe is designed to help prevent aquarium snails from leaving the aquarium and potentially becoming injured or drying out outside the tank. Some species, particularly nerite snails and related species, are known to climb out of aquariums or through small openings in aquarium covers. Snail Safe creates a barrier that discourages snails from continuing past certain areas.

When applied as a thin film along the aquarium edge or around openings, the product forms a protective barrier. While harmless to aquarium inhabitants, the surface is uncomfortable for snails when they touch it with their sensitive foot, causing them to turn around instead of continuing further.
