Power and Spectrum

The ReefLED G2 lights are available in three models:

• ReefLED G2 60: 60 W power, suitable for smaller aquariums.
• ReefLED G2 115: 115 W power, offering higher light intensity.
• ReefLED G2 170: 170 W power, ideal for larger and deeper aquariums.

These lights provide an adjustable light spectrum ranging from 8,000K Reef-White to 23,000K REEF-SPEC Blue at full power starting from 10,000K. This spectrum enhances fluorescence, improves colors, and optimally supports coral growth.

Optimal PAR Distribution

The ReefLED G2 ensures ideal PAR values throughout the aquarium without hotspots or areas with insufficient light for coral growth.

Design and Light Distribution

The compact LED array of each ReefLED G2 provides uniform light distribution in the aquarium. The patented stadium-shaped lens of the ReefLED G2 170, for example, creates even illumination in all directions up to a depth of 80 cm. Additionally, the lights feature a gentle shimmer effect and a recessed, glare-free lens design for pleasant illumination.

Smart Control

The ReefLED G2 lights are fully compatible with Red Sea’s ReefBeat app. This allows easy control and features such as random cloud simulations, acclimation for new installations, a moon phase cycle for moonlight mode, and customizable light settings, for example, for coral photography.

• Simulate a 28-day moon phase cycle with the 3W moonlight channel for reef-safe night observation.
• Plan the same lighting schedule for the entire week or set a different program for each day.
• A manual library allows storing custom configurations of color and moon channels along with a runtime for instant implementation.

Red Sea’s Recommended Light Settings:

Whiter light (lower Kelvin) has higher brightness per watt than bluer light (higher Kelvin).
​REEF-SPEC Blue light is 100% PUR (100% usable for corals), while 8,000K White light is about 45% PUR (55% not usable for corals).
​Corals can tolerate 8,000K at 100% intensity for only 5 hours per day, but 15,000K or higher at 100% intensity for 12 hours per day.
​Our recommended "Exposure" is a function of color, intensity, and photoperiod.
The app displays the exposure of each time slot as a percentage of the recommended daily total.
