The Fluval U2 Filter Foam Pad (A486) is designed for use with the Fluval U2 Underwater Aquarium Filter System (A470). It serves as the Stage 1 mechanical filtration media within the Fluval U2 filter.

Made from porous foam, the pad traps large particles, debris and impurities as water passes through, helping to reduce particulate matter in the aquarium. It is particularly suited for heavily populated aquariums.

The foam pad should be replaced approximately every 2–3 months and can be rinsed between changes to help extend its lifespan.
