JBL Ferropol 24 – daily fertilizer Product description This set contains the three basic components for the successful care of healthy aquarium plants from the very beginning. These three components make up the JBL concept "Luxuriant plants in 7 steps". More details on the 4 further elements are given at the end of this information. Element 4 is concerned with providing the plants with suitable full-spectrum light, which makes available the energy required for all plant life. The three other elements are optional and may be used according to the needs of the plants to be cared for. 1. Long-term substrate mixture with 5-fold effect - JBL AquaBasis plus the right "basis“ for plant roots Specially developed for the special long-term substrate mixture designed for use in an aquarium, which promotes the optimum growth of all aquarium plants over many years. JBL AquaBasis plus works in the following way: Selected natural peats, provide a humus-like medium with slightly acidic pH levels, making the nutrients more easily available to the plants. Specially selected clay granulate with a particularly high absorption binds nutrients. The absorbed nutrients are released through an exchange process in the event of deficiencies and absorbed if there is an excess, making the correct level of nutrients available to the plants at all times. Mineral-carrying material ensures a balanced supply of trace elements. A high proportion of iron in the form of a special granulate supplies iron to the plant roots for years. The iron does not dissolve in water, can however be transformed by the plant roots into a form accessible to plants and then taken up.
