Bolbitis heudelotii

Bolbitis heudelotii common name Bolbitis originates from West Africa and can grow to a height of 15cm - 40cm. B. heudelotii is a reasonably easy plant to grow. It is important not to cover the rhizomes when planting as they will rot. For the best results attach B. heudelotii to driftwood or rock using thread or fishing line. In time the rhizomes will attach and the plant will send small anchoring roots down through the driftwood or into the substrate. B. heudelotii is perfect for slower growing, low light and low maintenance aquariums. Addition CO2 supply will increase growth. Propagation is possible by splitting the rhizome into halves and replanting in a suitable area.
