The Heniochus Black and White Butterflyfish, also known as Longfin Bannerfish, has a very elongated white dorsal filament. It has a base color of white with two wide black stripes.
The soft dorsal and caudal fins are yellow, and there are black marks above the eyes. Members of the Heniochus genera are often called Bannerfish instead of Butterflyfish.
The Heniochus Black and White Butterflyfish may reside in a 150 litre or larger aquarium with other peaceful fish and others of the same species, if all were introduced into the tank at the same time. When swimming, the elongated white dorsal filament moves like a banner in the wind.
It prefers a diet of small meaty foods and herbivore preparations.
I received my Bannerfish from Seahorse back in May and was extremely happy with the quality of the fish and also the condition they arrived in. They were well packed in large individual bags by courier and settled in within a day. I was finding it very hard to get good specimens, these 3 came from Bali and were the best ive ever seen and a good price. They also took photos to show me beforehand as I couldn't drive down to the shop. I wouldn't think twice about ordering fish online again.

Excellent website, I have a 2500 litre marine set up at home which is running well, it has been for about 18 months now since I moved to Ireland and I am always on the look out for marine stockists, My father in-law told me about this shop he saw on TV, Most definitely will be visiting the shop very soon. I have been browsing and love the web site, I am looking for a few star fish for my system and also a urchin, etc and a lot more snails. So this is a welcome find, see you soon
