Dry aquarium reef rock works great for Aquascaping. Reef rock is all natural calcium carbonate rock mined from a land-based fossilized coral reef and does not damage ocean habitats in any way.
Reef rock comes in unique shapes that fit well together to make interesting and unique structures.
It is required that you soak the rock before adding it into your aquarium as it can have phosphates embedded in the rock that needs to be released which can be done by soaking in water (preferably reverse osmosis) and doing this several times to remove phosphate than can be in the dry rock.
Very light in weight, the rock can be used as a base to place the live rock on. In the correct environment and water conditions, the Reef rock will become implanted and turn to Live rock once Live rock is in the aquarium to seed the reef rock. This process will happen after 6 to 8 months if the water quality conditions are right.
Every size and shape is different. To have the selection you are after it is best to come in the shop. Selecting pieces for web orders is difficult but we can do the best to find pieces and shapes you are after. Gluing the rock together is popular to get the shape that you desire for your marine aquariums.
