Cryptocoryne parva originates from Sri Lanka and can grow to a height of 5 cm - 10 cm. C. parva is a slow grower and requires adequate light so must not be planted in a highly shaded area. Addition of CO2 and fertilisers for the roots benefits growth. One of its unique characteristics, is it does not significantly change its leaf shape and colour depending on nurturing conditions. For the best results, add both iron and potassium to look its best. Plant a few centimetres apart from each other and within six month they will form an interconnected group of foreground plants. Given the size of C. parva it is well suited to small aquariums.
