In our time producing custom build aquariums for many different clients such as high end shopping centres, airports and domestic aquariums.
We doing so we have finely tuned the processes involved to ensure we can deliver a highly efficient top quality finish with the customer’s requests and specifications at the heart of the design.
In the manufacturing process there are many options that we can offer to the client.
Many of these processes are customer specific and are dictated by size and specification of the aquarium. Other finishes such as glass selection and cabinetry finishes and style are based purely on esthetics and dictated by the client’s tastes.
When designing the aquarium an important factor to look at is the potential weight of the finished aquarium. Generally the weight of water is 1kg per every liter and rock and sand to be 1.5 times that.
This means that in some cases a specially designed stand must be used to carry the weight and fully support the tank. We would therefore design a steel frame to carry the specific weight of the load of the tank. The stand will then be powder coated to ensure it will not corrode due to the environment it will be used in.
The frames we used are all fitted with leveling feet to ensure no matter how uneven the floor is the level of you tank will always be correct. This is highly important as an uneven tank will lead to stress points in the tank. These stress points eventually leading can potentially lead to the failing.
